After eight years and nearly 600 articles, I’ve taken the plunge and transitioned DAMWeather from Google’s Blogger to WordPress. This change is a long time coming. It needed a fresh coat of paint, anyway.
Google’s once-popular blogging platform is slowly falling by the wayside. Constant tech glitches, broken links, and formatting headaches are expected from a free platform. But links no longer populating on search engines or social media was the final straw. If I can’t share my articles with anyone, what’s the point of writing them?
So, here we are. WordPress should offer more stability and versatility to geek out about the weather. The site looks a little different than it did back in the days, but it’s the same ol’ hype-free weather coverage beneath the hood.
